Study of how the coal haulage system affects dragline stripping with a thick overburden

2011
Coal haulage is the choke-point in dragline stripping technology.A calculation method was developed to determine moving increments and surface crusher location for middle channel, with thick overburden, development. The crusher station movement was to the area of operation for maximum economic benefit and production capacity.Engineering quantities were determined by the movement step.Down time determined the stockpile volume.Stockpiles are a way of improving the system by ensuring continuity of coal production during channel movement. The optimum time for moving the crusher is every 41 months and for moving the channel 8.36 months when the stockpile volume is 400 000 tons.Under these conditions the influence of channel movement on the system is small.
