A computation circuit different from a CPU is configured to perform a prescribed computation for consolidating information sampled during one cycle of a carrier frequency by variably controlling a sampling cycle for information in accordance with the load condition of an AC motor with respect to the carrier cycle of a PWM circuit. Thereby, it is possible to perform motor rotation control capable of suppressing the drastic fluctuation in a motor load by promptly responding to the situation where the rotation of the AC motor excessively increases with respect to the carrier cycle while curbing an increase in the computational control load on the CPU.
