Тектоника и нефтегазоносность северной части Александровского свода

The present research is devoted to assessing the influence of tectonic processes on the petroleum potential of the Upper Jurassic and Cretaceous deposits of northern part of the Alexandrov arch. The paper considers the evolution history of tectonic elements in which localized Upper Jurassic and Cretaceous reservoirs. According to the research it is concluded that the most perspective for the formation of oil accumulations in Upper Jurassic deposits are anticlinal traps uncomplicated by Cenozoic faults. The most perspective for the formation of hydrocarbon accumulations in Cretaceous sandstone reservoirs are anticlinal traps complicated by Cenozoic faults intersecting almost the entire Mesozoic-Cenozoic sedimentary cover.
