CDD 22. Edizione italiana: L'evoluzione di un progetto, le principali novità

The Italian edition of Dewey Decimal Classification Edition 22 has finally been published thanks to the cooperation among three institutions: Associazione Italiana Biblioteche, Biblioteca nazionale centrale di Firenze and Editrice Bibliografica. The translation and the edition of the text has been done by the team in charge of the classification of the Italian National Bibliography (BNI) and it has taken more than two years of work. The author describes here the main changes introduced in the Edition 22 and explains how they were adapted to the Italian culture and language. A few problems still open are pointed out and a possible passage to an on-line solution is investigated.
