Media access contro (MAC) address learning method, controller, and exchange equipment

The embodiments of the present invention provide a media access contro (MAC) address learning method, a controller, and exchange equipment. The method includes that the controller receives a first message and entry port information of the first message transmitted by the open flow (OF) exchange equipment; a first MAC address table entry is generated according to the first message and the entry port information of the first message; an exit port of the first MAC address table entry is an entry port of the first message; the first MAC address table entry is saved to an MAC address table of the OF exchange equipment; and whether a second address table entry exists in the MAC address table of the OF exchange equipment or not is determined, and if does, the controller transmits the first address table entry and the second address table entry to the OF exchange equipment. According to the embodiments of the present invention, by transmitting the MAC address table entries in pair, the controller is prevented from failling to learn all the MAC address table entries in the whole network.
