Vertical variation and temporal trends of extreme precipitation indices in a complex topographical watershed in the Hengduan Mountain Region, China

Studies on extreme precipitation events in regions with complex topography are usually lacking. Most of the extreme precipitation indices were significantly correlated with elevation, which were rarely reported before. The density of rain gauges can greatly affect the spatial–temporal trends by comparison of previous studies.
