Calidad de Vida relacionada con la Salud y ciberbullying en una muestra de adolescentes

2018
Health Related Quality of Life (HRQoL) is a multidimensional construct that has been constructed as a relevant variable for the study of health and well-being. Cyberbullying is a kind of peer violence carried out via communication technologies that causes psychological distress among victims. The aim of this study is to analyze the HRQoL of adolescents who have been identified as cyber-victims. A sample of 207 cybervictims (47.8% males and 52.2% females) was analyzed, with a mean age of 12.56(±0.98). The results show relationships between cyber-victimization and practically all dimensions of HRQoL, especially with psychological well-being, mood, relationship with parents and family life, school environment and school adaptationbullying. The conclusion is that there exists an inverse and significant relationship between cybervictimization and the different dimensions of HRQoL, indicating a possible affectation to the general welfare.
