A method for detection of failed printing nozzles in inkjet printing systems

A method for the automated detection of unusual pressure nozzles in an inkjet printing machine by means of a control computer, comprising the steps of: • implementation of a printing process for the production of a first printed image with print image data • detection and digitizing of the first print image produced in the printing process by at least one image sensor • Digital displacement of the first print image to at least a pressure nozzle transversely to the printing direction in the control computer • carrying out a further printing process for producing a second print image based on the digital shifted first print image • detection and digitizing of the second print image by the at least one image sensor • balance between first and second image detected pressure in the control computer • Identification of unusual pressure nozzles from the matching result by the control computer.
