Conclusion: Delayed administration of anti-CD4 antibody 3 days after lung transplantation appears to preferentially suppress the CD4+ effector arm rather than CD4+ regulatory T cells. This finding may be advantageous for promoting donor-specific tolerance in lung transplantation.
