A variety of evaluation and selection methods can be used in product development. These include simple verbal as well as point value and parameter methods. The selected method must be adapted to the respective evaluation or selection task. Furthermore, such an approach must not ignore the fact that evaluation methods often suggest a degree of certainty that is not necessarily guaranteed.
