EVALUACIÓN DE LA TOXICIDAD AGUDA (CL50) FRENTE A Artemia franciscana Y LA ACTIVIDAD HEMOLITICA DE LOS EXTRACTOS ACUOSOS, EN DICLOROMETANO Y METANÓLICO PARCIAL DE Justicia secunda (Vahl.)

2007
Justicia secunda is a plant of the family Acanthaceae that is used in Centro America by the traditional medicine with different therapeutic uses. In this study was evaluated the median lethal concentration of extracts obtained of this plant and the hemolytic activity. The partial methanolic extract exhibited a few toxicity (CL50 >1000 µg/mL) and smaller hemolytic activity (CE50> 1000 µg/mL), comparative with the other extracts. That suggests that according to these results this extract can be used in pharmacologic utilities.
