Psicoterapia educazionale della famiglia del soggetto affetto da schizofrenia

The authors, after briefly considering the suffering of the schizophrenic patient's family, stress the importance of high expressed emotion on determining the familial dysfunction; moreover, they present the evaluation instrument: the Camberwell Family Interview. Since the high emotional temperature is a factor that certainly promotes schizophrenic relapses, the authors consider some psychoe-ducational models which have different therapeutic interventions on the family of the schizophrenic patients. These interventions have as their last goal that of teaching the relatives how to live together with the patient, managing both their anxiety and fears.
