ABSTRACT On the basis of N-terminal automated Edman degradation, circular dichroism measurements and liposomes studies of its CNBr peptides, fragment B of diphtheria toxin has been shown to contain at least two different lipid-associating domains: the first one, of the surface type, is located at its N-terminus; the second one, of the transverse type, is located in its middle region.
