Fractional Laser Technology

Fractional technology has been hailed as the most important breakthrough in laser dermatology in the last two decades. Application of this technology to both ablative and non-ablative devices has allowed treatments of plethora of indications whilst reducing the down-time and improving patient acceptability. Fractional technology has also led to development of devices with novel wavelengths which have indirectly resulted in an increase in the number of devices and conditions that can be treated with such devices. The technology has not been limited to lasers but also been adapted to other devices such as radiofrequency systems.
