Extraction performance of two-phase aqueous system of mixed surfactants sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate and tetradecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride

2012
The phase region, extraction performance and microstructure of two-phase aqueous system of mixtures of sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate(SDBS) and tetradecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride(TTAC) were researched. Results show that the mixed aqueous solution of SDBA and TTAC forms stable two-phase regions at 30 ℃.Resultant two-phase aqueous system can extract and separate methylene blue and isatin at 30 ℃ to a certain degree. This is because the upper and lower phases of the two-phase aqueous system have much different microstructure, allowing the formation of stable two-phase aqueous system with a certain degree of extraction and separation performance.
