Applying transfer path analysis to large home appliances

1999
One specific answer to this need is the development and application of a method, which characterizes the sources (forces), the paths (joints, mounts, etc.), and the receivers (consumer). The desired outcome of the method is an understanding of how the noise and/or vibration response at the receiver came to be. What sources created the response? What path(s) did the source use to get its energy to the receiver? Are there multiple sources contributing to the response? This technique has come to be known as Transfer Path Analysis (TPA) [2].
