Directed Last-passage Percolation and Random Matrices

This paper is a survey of various techniques,recent results and applications of directed last-passage percolation model and its relation to random matrices.The connection can be explained mainly via the universality of famous Tracy-Widom distribution and Airy process.Some unsolved problems are also surveyed.
