Navigation method and navigation system for determining a route from a starting location to a destination for a means of transportation

The invention relates to a navigation method and a navigation system for determining a route for a means of transport, notably a motor vehicle, aircraft or ship, moving from a starting point to a destination. The route is calculated on the basis of a digital data base which contains defined route segments Wi and corresponding nodes Ni which interconnect the route segments Wi, weightings Gi being assigned to each route segment Wi and/or to the nodes Ni. The weightings Gi used to calculate the route are modified in accordance with the time of day.
