Professor Trillas’ Presidency of CSIC: Years of Political Change and Friendship

On October 28th 1982 the Socialist Party (PSOE) won a clear victory in the Spanish legislative elections under the leadership of Mr. Felipe Gonzalez who had run under the slogan “For change”, “Por el cambio”. Asked a few days after the elections for the exact meaning of the slogan the new president said that “change” simply meant that Spain worked.
