Advances in LCD Backlight Film and Plate Technology Diffusive and refractive optical films and plates are and will continue to be key elements of the LCD backlight system. The significant technical advances achieved in polymeric films or plates that diffuse and/or refract light from the light-guide plate or directly from the lamps will be explored.
