Safety Assessment of Bridge Crane Based on Quantifying Risk

2013
The quantitative calculation of the risk has been a key process of safety assessment and accident prevention for the special machinery equipments. Based on the failure mode and effects analysis, focusing on any failure modes of the crane parts, the actual probability of failure is calculated by modifying coefficient from the general failure probability of the crane parts on the Analytic Hierarchy Process and the Gray Comprehensive Assessment. According to the economic decision criterion, a calculation model of failure consequences is established for the crane parts, and then quantitative risk calculation is completed taking advantage of the two-dimensional risk matrix, a structure for risk-based rules is proposed. This study provides a reference for further research on accident prevention technology of the crane mechanisms.
