Influências na escolha por curso de nutrição em calouros de Porto Alegre (RS)

Objetivou-se identificar em calouros as influencias na escolha por nutricao e suas expectativas, atraves de estudo exploratorio. 135 calouros dos cursos de nutricao de Porto Alegre (RS) preencheram questionario proprio. Os dados analisados pela estatistica descritiva indicaram o interesse em “educar pessoas a alimentacao saudavel” (26%) e “ser profissao da area da saude” (19%). Ha maior interesse em atuar na area de nutricao clinica, em consultorios de nutricao, hospitais e clinicas (82%). Reportagens pela midia influenciaram na escolha (76%) e as falas de nutricionistas atuantes (52%). Concluiu-se ser importante mostrar aos calouros de nutricao as possibilidades de atuacao profissional, seu papel na promocao da saude e as diversidades de atuacao, em sintonia com os avancos da ciencia, na perspectiva de crescimento da sociedade, na realizacao profissional e pessoal. The analyzed by the descriptive statistic indicates the interest in “the education of the people to a health alimentation” (26%) and “being a professional of the health area” (19%). There is more interest in act on the clinical nutrition area, in nutrition office, hospital and clinics (82%). Reports by the media influence the choice (76%) and the speeches by the acting nutritionists (52%). In conclusion its important show to the nutrition’s freshmen the possibilities of the professional action, and its role in the health promotion and the diversities of the action, in tune with the science advances, on the perspective of the society growing, the professional and personal achievement.
