Gestosis Index (EPH-Gestosis); Evaluation for the Assessment of Prognosis and Condition of the Newborn

It is well known that EPH-Gestosis has some influence on fetal growth. In this study, we analyzed 33 cases of severe polysymptomatic EPH-Gestosis using a modified Gestosis Index (G.I.) and investigated which G.I. factor had the most severe effect on fetal growth. According to the G.I. analysis, the fetal death rate is 40% in the group with total G.I. over 8 and each factor point over 2. Hypertension (H) and proteinuria (P) have specially severe effects on the fetus.
