Psychodynamische Psychotherapie bei somatoformen Störungen im symptomatischen Monitoring

Psychodynamic treatment of somatoform disorders in symptomatic monitoring: possible applications of the SCL-90-R. Some potentials of the SCL-90-R for symptomatic monitoring of patients with somatoform disorders undergoing psychodynamic treatment are examined in this paper. The scores of the SCL-scales and the Global Severity Index (GSI) from n = 18 patients treated with a psychodynamic approach are compared longitudinally to the scores from n = 21 individuals coming to a psychosomatic outpatient clinic for diagnostic purposes and staying without psychotherapeutic treatment for 4-6 months. As measured with the SCL, the first group showed a higher rate of psychological comorbidity on a descriptive level than the second group and the patients treated psy-chodynamically achieved significantly higher rates of improvement than the untreated. Possible applications of the SCL-90-R for screening and the assessment of change in psycho-therapies are viewed.
