POD Isozyme Analysis of Inner Mongolia Apocynum venetum Linn

[Objective] The basis of the identification of the relation among the Apocynum venetum Linn varieties in Inner Mongolia and its breeding was provided through the comparison of peroxidase(POD) isoenzyme bands of varieties.[Method] The characteristics of POD isoenzyme of the leaf,stem and root in the cotyledon stage of the Apocynum venetum Linn variety,which were distributed in Tongliao,Bayannur and Baotou,was analyzed with the polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis technology.[Result] The results showed that there was difference to some extent in the location,number and intensity degree of POD isoenzyme band of the leaf,stem and root among Apocynum venetum Linn varieties.Total 44 bands from the leaf,stem and root of those varieties could be divided into Zone No.1 and Zone No.2,among which,most of the strong bands were concentrated in Zone No.2 with the 79% of its total and the semi-strong and weak bands were concentrated in Zone No.1,with the 75% of their total,respectively.[Conclusion] The genetic diversity of Apocynum venetum Linn variety in three regions of Inner Mongolia was abundant.
