Pregnancy and small cell carcinoma of the uterine cervix.

1979
: A fatal case of a 22-year old pregnant patient with small cell cervical cancer is reported. The fulminant course of the disease was attributable more to the histological type of the tumour than to the pregnancy. Delay in diagnosis as a result of the pregnancy created a problem emphasized, by difficulty of cytological examination due to the very small size of the cancer cells.
