Numerical Study of Flow Field with Changing Taper Angle of Flotation Cell in Air-breathing Centrifugal Flotation Machine

It will be effect flow filed in centrifugal flotation machine when changing the taper angle of flotation cell.Three kinds taper angle are choosen,use computational fluid dynamics software Star CCM+ for numerical simulation of flow filed in flotation cell.Change structure parameters of flotation cell,separately by numerical simulation.The feed flow into flotation cell is water,choose unsteady,standard κ-e turbulence model for calculation.Results show that: If feeding pipes in one row,and the cone angle of lower shell is 120°,pressure on outer barrel is maximum,tangential velocity along in wall of flotation cell also maximum.Conclusion results can provide basis for using of space effectively,increasing flotation efficiency,optimizing flotation structure.
