A Technical Literature on the Analysis of Biodiesel Fueled Engine using Artificial Neural Network (ANN)

In today's world environment is changing dynamically due to the arising industrialization. Air pollution from automobiles is another major concern for the global warming and several diseases. Automotive experts across the globe wrestle towards making emission free vehicles in order to overcome pollution and depletion of fossil fuels. Studies reveal, biodiesel as a fuel resolves the current challenge to some extent. In the real time, biodiesel engine modelling is one of the thought-provoking tasks in automotive industry. In this paper, a detailed literature review is done on various researches in the application of biodiesels for automotive engines. The review is sectioned to two sections in which first section illustrates about different biodiesel properties and their performance characteristics of engines fueled with it. The next section describes about application of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) in the modelling of biodiesel fueled engines. Performance changes and emission reduction abilities of various biodiesel fueled engines are analyzed. ANN modelling accuracy and its architecture are carried out in this work.
