Granulated water-soluble alkali silicate siliceous

A granulated amorphous silicic-acid-containing alkaline silicate has an apparent density in a range from 500 to 1200 g/l and its 1 % by weight aqueous solution has a Klett coefficient in a range from 6 to 100. Also disclosed is a process for producing this granulated alkaline silicate in a turbo-dryer by using a CO2-containing gas as drying gas, and its use as builder component in washing and cleaning agents.
