Principles of surgical treatment of closed injuries of the urethra and their sequelae

1991
: An experience with treatment of closed injuries of the urethra and their sequellae in 278 patients is presented. Most of the patients (206) had fractures of pelvic bones resulting from a mechanical trauma (fall from height, automobile accident, compression). Different operative interventions on the injured urethra are described depending on the volume of the injuries and time of operation. The authors note high possibilities to restore the urethra at different periods of trauma disease.
