Approaches to corporate risk have been increasing in the scientific and practitioner communities in many contexts. The internationalization of companies motivated by the search for new markets resulted in an increase in the competitiveness between organizations and, consequently, increased their exposure to risks. The aim of the study is to map and analyze the literature related to the ideas of perception and management of corporate risks in the context of international business, based on the search for understanding how topics related to the idea of risk can be investigated. Thus, the work is characterized as a theoretical essay and makes use of the method of conceptual revision. The findings suggest possibilities for research proposals and studies that can assist the development of future investigations.
