Electric vehicle having an engine for computing length extension and an air compressor control

A vehicle comprising a vehicle body, a first motor disposed inside the vehicle body, a second motor disposed inside the vehicle body, and a machine that is removably arranged on the vehicle body and configured to transfer torque to the first motor selectively supply when it is positioned on the vehicle body. A climate control compressor disposed inside the vehicle body and selectively coupled to the first motor. A controller is configured to control the coupling of the control air compressor to the first motor and to control the coupling of the engine to the first motor. The first motor is configured to generate electric power, and to operate said second motor, when coupled with the machine. The controller is further configured to control the operation of the machine.
