Infusion speed stability of a new multi-functional self-controled infusion apparatus

Objective: To study the stability of infusion speed of a new multi-functional self-controled infusion apparatus(MSIA).Methods: A new MSIA was made,its infusion speed was detected when different types of needle,trocar and liquid were used.Results: The infusion speed increased with the increasing of needle size and internal diameter of trocar.Different types of infusion liquid showed different infusion speed under the same infusion condition.The infusion speed of blood was the slowest whereas normal saline was the fastest.The fastest infusion speed of a liquid is basically constant when no pressure was applied.Conclusion: The new infusion device has the characteristics of good portability,high infusion accuracy,precise velocity control and convenient operation.
