Cell viability changes in cultured H4 glioma cells upon low frequency pulsed electromagnetic field (7Hz, 30mT) exposure in flow cytometry analysis

2018
Glioma is a human lethal malignancy with worldwide range. Current achievements in surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, targeting therapy are still not effective and the disease remains one of the most lethal malignancies. The improvement of glioma treatment efficacy is desired. Aim of our studies was to investigate viability changes in H4 glioma cell line induced by low frequency pulsed electromagnetic field (LF-PEMF; 7Hz, 30mT) exposure, analyzed by flow cytometry. Obtained results have found out, that LF-PEMF stimulation of H4 glioma cell cultures induced apoptosis in exposed cells.
