2009
Objective To discuss the significance of joint detection of hemoglobin electrophoresis and G6PD before marriage, the prenatal visit and the incidence of Mediterranean anemia and G6PD in the newborns. Methods Samples of 3 326 pregnant women,pre-natal blood sample specimen and 276 samples of hematolysis newborns were collecte, agarose gel electrophoresis was used to test the hemoglobin level and the incidence of G6PD.Results There 335 were detected to be Mediterranean anemia HBA2 pateints(2.5%) with a detection rate of10.07%;258 examples were HBA2 3.5% with a detection rate of 7.76%;167 samples were HBA2 4.0% with a detection rate of 5.02%;17 samoles had abnormal hemalbumin level.89 samples were G6PD patients(2.7%) Hb the Bart's belt was detected in 79 newborn hematolysis newborn examples(28.62%) and with a G6PD of 7.91%.Conclusion Joint detection of Mediterranean anemia and G6PD is applicable and reliable for detection of hematolysis in the newborns and prevent from missing cases by one of the detection.
