Clinical Study of Qiling Chaihu Solution for Chronic Hepatitis B Patients

2002
Objective: To investigate the curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine Qiling Chaihu Solution (QLCHS) for chronic hepatitis B (CHB). Methods: Using QLCHS to resist HBV and decreasing enzyeme by clinical experiment group QLCHS, group IFN, and group of routine protecting liver group were set up to compare the effect. The HBsAg was detected by SP-RIA, HBeAg was detected by ELISA, and the HBV DNA was detected by PCR. Results: According to x2 check, the turning negative rate of HBeAg and HBV DNA in group QLCHS (56.5 % and 33.3 % ) was obviously higher than that of the group of troutine protecting liver (9.3% and 11.1%) (P0.01), while it were not distinctive, between group QLCHS and group IFN. The serum ALT activity has recovered to the normal level in the three groups were 76.8 % , 82.5 % and 61.1% respectively. It was not distinctive among the three groups (P0.05). Conclusion: QLCHS has tangible curative effect for turning negative of HBeAg and HBV DNA in CHB patients, and it is active to decrease the level of ALT, which has been certified by clinical experience. So QLCHS can be regarded as the special prescribe for CHB.
