The invention relates to a method for preparing banana cellulose nanofibers by using a steam explosion technology. The method comprises the following steps of: shearing banana crude fibers into short fibers with the length of 2-10cm, soaking in a NaOH solution, washing until neutrality, performing steam explosion treatment, rinsing by using a bleaching solution, and washing until neutrality to obtain banana nanofibers, wherein the yield is over 60 percent. Waste banana stem crude fibers in banana gardens are taken as main raw materials, a method of combining chemical treatment and the steam explosion technology is adopted, defects of high cost, complicated procedures and environmental pollution in the traditional method for preparing nanofibers are overcome, a production period of the nanofibers is greatly shortened, the efficiency is improved, and the method has the characteristics of simple process, low production cost, recycle of an alkaline liquor and the leaching solution, and the like, and lays a foundation for development and utilization of banana fibers.
