Neutron-Resonance Capture as a Tool to Analyse the Internal Compositions of Objects Non-Destructively
2006
14 NOTIZIARIO NEUTRONI E LUCE DI SINCROTRONE • Vol. 11 n. 2 July 2006 Abstract Neutron resonance capture analysis (NRCA) is a non-destructive method for analysing the bulk composition of materials and objects. It has been developed at the GELINA facility of the Institute for Reference Materials and Measurements (IRMM) in Geel (B) as a joint project with the Delft University of Technology. In this paper some features of NRCA are discussed on the basis of results obtained in the field of archaeology.
