Effects of innovative nursing device on venipuncture in infusion children patients

2019
Objective To explore the effects of innovative nursing device on reducing re-injection rates of venipuncture in infusion children patients. Methods Totally 480 children patients receiving transfusion admitted in the First People's Hospital of Shangqiu from October 2016 to March 2018 were selected and numbered according to the order of admission. Then they were divided into the control group (n=240) and the observation (n=240) according to the random number table. Patients in the control group were nursed with conventional nursing device, while patients in the observation group were treated with innovative nursing device. The effects of transfusion were compared between the two groups. Results The re-injection rate of venipuncture of the observation group was 6.33% (15/240) , the time of successful puncture was (1.19±0.33) min, and the incidence rate of adverse effects was 13.33% (32/240) , lower than those of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05) . The nursing satisfaction of the observation group were better than those of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01) . Conclusions Innovative nursing device can effectively reduce the re-injection of venipuncture in preschool children patients and improve nursing satisfaction and transfusion safety.
