Non-contact access control system for a closure of a vehicle

An access control system for a vehicle includes an aft closure and a system that controls the movement of the rear shutter between the closed and the open position. The control system includes a controller and a wireless communication module with a wireless interface, which is configured for the short-range wireless communication. The controller receives an operation signal requesting the transfer of the rear shutter into an open position, from a mobile communication device that drives a vehicle user himself. Then, the controller via a connection between the wireless communication module and a short-range wireless communication device that leads the user with him when the user enters the authentication area and the operation area in the vicinity of the vehicle determined. Once the user is located within the operating zone, the controller generates a rear shutter control signal that is configured to cause the aft closure to move from the closed position to the open position.
