Computer System Based on Robotic Process Automation for Detecting Low Student Performance

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is the technology-oriented to the use of robots based on software robots to automatically execute repetitive processes performed by humans but without their limitations, such as exhaustion, stress, time limits, etc. For this reason, RPA has been applied in different fields as in the educational context, improving the academic work of teachers by engaging to other more relevant academic activities. Thus, the objective of this study was to develop and evaluate an RPA system for an Educational Unit using the SCRUM agile software methodology and the UiPath Studio tool, adapting to the academic system used in the institution. The quality evaluation performed using the GQM (Goal Question Metric) methodology, showing adequate levels of effectiveness (system functionality), efficiency (task execution times), and satisfaction (ease of use).
