PERISTALTIC BEHAVIOR OF DISUSED URETERAL STUMP

1973
Abstract Chronic (disused) canine ureteral stumps exhibited increased irritability as the result of which bizarre multiphasic peristaltic patterns were observed. These irregular patterns, however, tended to be monophasic with prolonged infusions. The response to bladder filling was not dissimilar to that exhibited by a normal ureteral segment.
