Зародження, становлення і розвиток сільськогосподарської дослідної справи на Сумщині

In the thesis the stages of formation and development of agricultural research cases in Sumy region from its emergence in the second half of XVIII to XXI century have been reproduced based on a set of representative sources. The preconditions to agricultural research on the territory of Sumy region have been found out; the types of research institutions that operated in different periods have been defined. The dates of creation and the periods of activity of some institutions in pre-revolutionary times have been specified, the main directions of their research have been determined. The analysis of the activity of a branch research institutes network in the Soviet period has been made. A little-known chapter in the history of national research institutions – the activity in the temporarily occupied territory in 1941-1943 has been revealed on a base of archive documentary analysis. The directions of research activity of branch research institutions at the present stage of their activity have been analyzed. The contribution of branch research institutions of Sumy region into the development of national agriculture has been defined. The periodization of agricultural research cases development in Sumy region has been proposed.
