Mucopolysaccharides of the aortic wall in coarctation and recoarctation

The mucopolysaccharide (MPS) components of the aortic wall in coarctation and recoarctation show changes that are apparently degenerative in nature. The effects of these changes, and those produced by surgery, may predispose to re-stenosis.
