This study attempted to explore the representation of nailart by creating designs according to fashion trend keywords from the top four S/S 2018 fashion-collections. From the analysis of trends from the fashion-collections, a total of 12 nailart designs were created based on 12 different images base on the trend keywords of the world’s top 4 S/S 2018 fashion collections as shown in New York, London, Milano, and Paris that were announced by FASHION N. The results found the followings: In fanny pack, new-tro was expressed. For the logo design, the gucci logo was loved by luxury brand maniacs. For sheer top layered, flowers and unstandardized patterns were used in a see-through form. For upgraded denim-on-denim, a galaxy-reminding fashion was created, while sweet unicorns from fairy tales were adopted to express sweet pastel. For all that pink, a romantic pink was created. For bohemian fringe, folklore and ethnic styles were utilized. For ornamental draw string, an athleisure look was adopted. For vertical stripe, stripes in diverse shapes and thicknesses were depicted. For plaid and check patterns, antique tartan check patterns were created. For spangle party, spangled patterns were the predominant trend. For black and white, classical geometric patterns were used. As stated above, it was possible to create new designs by applying trends from fashion-collections to nailart. There should be further empirical studies on nailart, in connection with diverse fields.
