The method comprises steps: step 1, benzene compounds and formaldehyde are dissolved in water with addition of catalysts to form an aqueous solution, the mol ratio of the benzene compounds, formaldehyde and the catalysts is 1:1.5-2.5:200-500; step 2, the formed aqueous solution is heated until gel is formed, and the gel is extracted; step 3, the gel is subjected to solvent replacement and second gel is obtained; step 4, the second gel is dried and subjected to carbonizing treatment. The heat collection material has abundant source and simple preparation method. The preparation method has no pollution to the environment. The artificially synthesized heat collection material is applied in a heat collection plate and a heat collector, and therefore the production cost is reduced. The heat collection material can be sprayed on a substrate directly, and applied in a heat collection plate and a heat collector, the device investment is further decreased and the production cost is controlled.
