The sample was 2,318 adolescents (1,138 females, 1,180 males), mean age 14.53 (SD = 1.37). Academic achievement was measured using a self-reported question about their marks from the previous year and physical activity levels (PAL) were measured using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Short Form (IPAQ-SF). Results prove differences in academic achievement depending on the compliance of daily recommendations (t = 2.10; p = 0.04), showing a low academic achievement in those whose moderate-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) has the highest or the lowest levels. In conclusion, a greatest academic achievement is related to suitable MVPA levels. Therefore, interventions which let adolescents know their individual abilities should be developed to achieve suitable MVPA levels that would allow them to get health benefits.
