Development of 1 000 W CW Solid State High Power Amplifier for X-band

Development of 1 000 W continuous wave high power amplifier for X-band adopts a solid state approach.However,power output level of individual solid state device is limited,power synthesizing technology requires.An approach is proposed combining modular design,independent cooling,dispersed filtering,flexible phase-amplitude modulation,and modular synthesis,which makes equipment technical parameters meet design specifications and experimental requirement.The synthesis efficiency is over 80%.And modular approach facilitates equipment maintenance and repair.Its stability and reliability have been proved through experience for two years,and no problem ever takes place.
