Pensar lo popular desde un lugar otro. La propuesta de Jesús Martín-Barbero como aporte y debate para una teoría sobre los lugares plebeyos de la cultura:

2019
Jesus Martin Barbero has been a Latin American reference in communication and cultural studies. His work place popular culture in the debate a historical look and a conceptual map of the referents and disputes. The hypothesis of this work is that Martin Barbero got, in addition, to move the place of the popular from the ancestral / original, to a more plebeian, more bastard, more suspicious and yet more anchored with the Latin American reality of its time: it placed the popular near the massive world. The present text takes up elements elaborated in the doctoral thesis and from it recovers two central reflections on popular culture in the thinking of Martin Barbero: first, the historical-genealogical view on the popular that this author worked in his book From the media to The mediations and a second moment is its displacement towards the place of the mass and the implications that this has also developed with extension in the same publication, from which it offers some conclusions.
