Demir D, Goz M, Hazar A, Aydin MS, Goncu MT, Andac MH. Analysis of effect on short-mid term graft patency of using endarterectomy in Off-pump coronary artery surgery. Adv Lab Med Int. 2019; 9: 13 - 21. ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to evaluate short-term and mid-term outcomes of patients who underwent off-pump coronary endarterectomy in our clinic. The study is conducted between March 2007 and March 2009 in our clinic.Twenty one patients were included in the study who underwent off-pump coronary endarterectomy. Left anterior artery underwent open and right coronary artery underwent open and closed endarterectomy. Some patients (due to medical indications) underwent control coronary angiography. Twenty one patients underwent off pump coronary endarterectomy. The average age was 64.61±10.50 years. Nine patients underwent control coronary angiography in post-operative period.Patency rate of left anterior artery grafts was found to be 85 % in patients and patency rate of saphenous vein grafts is 50 % in patients. Patency rate of all the grafts were 66 %.Off pump coronary endarterectomy is a surgical procedure with high mortality and morbidity rates. However, it is significant that this procedure is performed in high-risk patients with diffuse artery disease. As a result, we reckon off-pump coronary endarterectomy procedure can be performed with acceptable risk in medical centers that have experience over the procedure.
